- Crafting for a Cause: Craft your own framed jewelry holder with Darla DeMorrow (of Heartwork Organizing) to help raise money for the Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity. - Main Street Vegan: Eating Green & Loving Life: Intrigued about the vegan life but worry that it’s expensive, too hard to maintain or just plain cow-hugging weird? Join Victoria Moran, holistic health counselor, author, and longtime vegan for an inspiring talk and book signing. Thursday, Nov. 13th @ 7-8pm. Conference Center at Penn State Great Valley. The event is free and open to the public.
- New Slow City: Living Simply in the World’s Fastest City: William Powers discusses his new book about how he and his wife are able to live the slow, simple life in the hustle and bustle of New York City. Listen to how they jettisoned 80 percent of their stuff and moved into a 350-square-foot “micro apartment” in Greenwich Village and become inspired to make urban life more people- and planet-friendly. - Movember at Frankford Hall: Help raise awareness and funds for mens health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health through the power of moustache…and awesome drink specials!
