How our interns feel after a semester…

This internship combines real-life journalism and marketing skills for an audience that cares about making a difference.

The editorial interns at Green Philly are instrumental at increasing the content on our website, including research, interviews, attending events and networking within the industry. At the end of the semester, you’ll have an online, real-world portfolio full of content that future employers can see. Plus, you’ll learn how to optimize SEO, social media and more.

We have 3 open positions within journalism, marketing and/or web development.


The contributor will be responsible for brainstorming topics, drafting content, growing web traffic, responding to comments, researching, managing public relations inquiries, proofreading and more.


  • Contributing to the Editorial process from topic creation to publishing content
  • Social Media, SEO & Outreach – optimizing blog posts
  • Website analytics
  • Proofing & Editing
  • Attending live events (at least 1-2 per semester).
  • Good interpersonal skills, team player, technologically savvy, interested in Sustainability
  • WordPress Experience (Optional)

Although a variety of majors are considered, journalism students are especially encouraged to apply.
