Who’s ready for the most wonderful time of the year… Elections?!?

From political events to bike rides and local foodie samplers, here’s the best events this week:

Week of May 18 – 21, 2015:

• ELECTION DAY! If you’re in Philadelphia city limits, get to the polls! Your voice needs to be heard in the election. No idea who’s running for Mayor? Review our Green Election Guide. Tuesday, May 19 from  7 AM – 8 PM; Find your polling place.
• YIP’s #YoungPHLVotes Election Night Happy Hour: Bring your “I Voted” to the YIP Happy Hour and get a FREE drink! Who said democracy couldn’t be fun? Tues, May 19 at 6-9 PM; Facebook RSVP.
• The Ride of Silence: The 10th annual Ride of Silence honors cyclists killed (6 the last 11 months) or injured in motor vehicle related accidents and to raise awareness about the rights of cyclists to ride the roads. Join the 8-mile route – make sure to bring your helmet and bike lights are encouraged. Wednesday, May 20th 2015 at 6:45 p.m, meet at Philadelphia Art Museum Steps, Ride of Silence website.
• Eat Retreat Bite: Enjoy local samples, enjoy local libations and learn about food in this evening affair. Plus, GPB friends get $10 off with code SQSPBITE. Thursday, May 21st from 6-9 PM, Impact Hub Philadelphia. Tickets. 
• Urban Scramble: Similar to a Scavenger Hunt, participants will have 1 hour to safely run or walk to up to 12 predetermined locations in order to receive raffle tickets for over a dozen prizes from local Philly businesses. Prizes are sourced from the local businesses along the course and range from gift cards for a cup of coffee to free Nike swag! Thursday at 6 PM; Philadelphia Runner (1601 Sansom); Facebook RSVP.
