A Better, Healthier Arnold Palmer with Organic India Tea: Friday Quickie

healthier arnold palmerI must admit – When it comes to drinks, I save any calories for booze. Therefore, I typically only drink water, coffee (with organic soy or almond milk), and homemade smoothies.

When I received a batch of Organic India Tea to try, I was so psyched – but I didn’t want to try all of this hot tea when it was 8000* outside. Therefore, I experimented with iced tea.

Here’s one of my fav combos thus far:

The Organic India Arnold Palmer Makeover: Healthier, less cals & delicious.

Natural Arnold Palmer Recipe with Organic India Tea

Ingredients:
  • 1 Organic India Tea
  • Lemon
  • Mint leaves
  • Honey
  • Ice Cubes
Method:
  1. Boil hot water on the stove in tea kettle (or use whatever you have if not.)
  2. Pour one cup of Organic India tea with teabag – steep for 5-7 minutes. Add mint leaves.
  3. While tea is doing its jam, place 5-6 ice cubes in a cup. I used a pint glass with 5-6 large iced cubes, essentially to the top.
  4. Squeeze lemon into cup. Then, scrape the pulp into the cup.
  5. Add a few mint leaves to the cup as well.
  6. When tea is ready, pour into glass. Add one teaspoon of honey. Enjoy. Taste heaven

*Sidenote: some of the ingredients may sink to bottom. Serve with spoon or stirrer.
