Rad Dish Café Got New Digs at Temple & Indiegogo Campaign!

Rad Dish Cafe at Temple University

Remember that Co-Op on Temple’s campus that I mentioned back in April?

I’m here to report that the Rad Dish Café is still in the works, tightening the last nuts and bolts before their opening on Temple’s campus this October. The Café secured a spot in the coffee bar located in the Ritter Hall Annex and will continue to be run by students from the Fox, environmental studies, communications, geography and urban studies departments.

In addition to their new location, the Rad Dish team progressed with many exciting changes in the past four months, making it the ideal spot for Temple students looking for healthy bite.

What’s different now?

5 (New) Reasons to Eat at the Rad Dish Café

  1. Options. Unlike my freshman year food court selection of cereal, hotdogs and cookies, the Rad Dish Café will offer fresh baked goods, sandwiches simple salads, a seasonal rice bowl. Changing at a minimum of once per month, customers will find themselves choosing between rice bowl dishes of ratatouilles, curry, chili, stew and more. Don’t tell me you’re not hungry already.
  2. Sustainability. The café will not only have recycling bins but compost bins too! Even better, all of the packaging of the fresh goods will be either recyclable or compostable. When’s the last time you’ve been able to dump your leftovers in a compost bin on-site?
  3. Herbivore Friendly. With numerous places vegans and vegetarians cannot eat on campus, it’s refreshing to find a ‘go-to’ spot with variety for us non-meat eaters. Not to fear! The menu filled with an array of  breads, honey and delicious jams will be just as appealing to carnivore as it is to the herbivore.
  4. Caffeine. What’s a café without good java? Along with your morning pastry, the Rad Dish Cafe will be serving all fair-trade and organic coffee and tea.
  5. Community Events. Once up and running, the café plans on hosting a variety of events ranging from open mic nights and poetry readings to community dinners and more. Keep your eyes open for more events to come!

Temple students, get psyched.

Support the Rad Dish Cafe Indiegogo Campaign

Not a Temple Student? You can still support the Rad Dish Cafe by helping to fund their Indiegogo Campaign.

The best part? You won’t get another t-shirt by supporting them: instead, you’ll make these socially motivated kids to volunteer and pay it forward. They’ll also give you a personal update of how they helped volunteer.

How cool is that as payback karma for your support?
