Fairmount Spring Cleanup

Join the Fairmount Civic Association for our 5th annual Spring Cleanup, in conjunction with the Philly Spring Cleanup. Volunteers will meet at the playground at 22nd and Brown to will receive supplies such as gloves, trash bags, and rakes. We will pick up trash, recyclables, and leaves. Circle Compost will collect all bagged leaves to donate to urban farms and gardens.

Even if you don’t live in Fairmount you can help—cleaning up one area prevents trash from going to others, especially with the Schuylkill River here. We will provide refreshments to keep you hydrated and fed. Participants will be offered discounted registration to the Summer 2017 AALL Outdoor Bocce League.

Last year’s spring cleanup brought out more than 80 volunteers, who collected 235 large bags of trash and recycling (estimated 12,000+ pounds). Come take pride in your community and let’s keep this green tradition going strong!
