Vegetable Garden Planning Workshop

Registration Required. Get your garden planned now for a more successful season with Greensgrow’s Farmer Deirdre. The workshop will focus on how to best use the space in your backyard or community plot for a healthy and productive vegetable garden through the season.

We’ll cover succession planting, companion planting, and crop rotation practices that will help keep your soil balanced for more disease and pest resistant plants. She will go over seasonal transitions and how to incorporate best methods for weed control, watering and composting into your garden plan.

You’ll take a tour of the Greensgrow high tunnel to see how we put these methods to work here on the farm. Everyone will get a handout to take home that includes tips from the class as well as a planting schedule, seasonal garden ideas, and some room to start planning your beds.
