Center for Aquatic Sciences at Adventure Aquarium
The mission of the Center for Aquatic Sciences is Education and Youth Development through experiential engagement to promote the understanding, appreciation, and protection of aquatic life and habitats.
The Center for Aquatic Sciences engages Camden youth, residents, and visitors in on-water and near-water experiences on the Cooper River and Delaware River Back Channel. Activities are offered in local waterfront spaces including Pyne Poynt Park, Petty’s Island, Cramer Hill Nature Preserve, Coopers Poynt Park, Gateway Park, Phoenix Park, Wiggins Park, and the soon-to-open Cramer Hill Waterfront Park.
The Center also serves the 4-state area through aquatic and marine science programing for schools, libraries, and community-based organizations. A unique partnership with Adventure Aquarium allows the Center to also offer fun and educational onsite programs, including summer day camp, sleepovers, and workshops.
