Education Center, Park, and Trail
The Camden Children’s Garden is operated by the Camden City Garden Club. The Garden Club’s mission is to inspire and educate people of all ages by providing opportunities to improve their quality of life, health and community through horticulture.
The Camden Children’s Garden is designed for children and families. It is a special place to explore and discover the natural world. The four-acre garden provides horticultural experiences for creative and imaginative play.
The Garden is located across the Delaware River from Philadelphia and adjacent to the Adventure Aquarium, Susquehanna Bank Center, and Battleship New Jersey. The Children’s Garden is easily accessible by the RiverLink Ferry from Penn’s Landing, the PATCO High Speedline, or the River Line Train.
This project is a part of “From the Source: Stories of the Delaware River” and is produced with support from the National Geographic Society, the Lenfest Institute for Journalism, and the William Penn Foundation. Editorial content is created independent of the project’s donors.
