Wissahickon Creek Cleanup

Join United By Blue , REI , Friends of the Wissahickon , Philadelphia Parks and Recreation ,  Philadelphia Water Department, and honeygrow for a cleanup of the Wissahickon Creek!

Wissahickon Creek is a tributary of the Schuylkill River, and runs through 23 miles of park lands, a deep gorge, and Wissahickon Valley. Wissahickon Valley is a designated National Natural Landmark, due in large part to the beauty of Wissahickon Creek, and the landscape has attracted countless park users over the years. Unfortunately, the creek can carry trash and debris from upstream into the park and valley and get caught in the creek banks. Help us remove trash/litter from this beautiful landscape to keep the creek and park healthy for all to enjoy.

United By Blue will provide cleanup supplies and drinking water. Snacks will be provided by  honeygrow ! Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet. All volunteers will receive a reusable United By Blue water bottle as a thank you for your time.
