“Waterview”: a Participatory Procession

September 15, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free
Waterview is a participatory procession in search of the Wingohocking Creek, an historic Philadelphia waterway that was converted into sewers in the late 19th century, except for a small remaining tributary located on the grounds of Awbury Arboretum. Guests will be invited to join the procession through the fields and along the Arboretum’s watercourse. There will be instruments, props and costumes, and guests will be encouraged to pay close attention to sights and sounds they encounter along the way. The event is inspired by the history of the Wingohocking Creek and humanity’s relationship with the landscape past, present and future.
Please park on Washington Lane between Chew and Ardleigh Streets  – look for the event signs for parking and to lead you to the spot where the procession will start.
Rain date October 6th.
This event is FREE and open to the public, no registration required.
