United By Blue Schuylkill River Cleanup

Join United By Blue, Philadelphia Water Department, and Bartram’s Garden for a cleanup of the shores of the Schuylkill River at Bartram’s Garden in celebration of Earth Day!

Bartram’s Garden is a National Historic Landmark and a treasured nature sanctuary within the city. With community programming in gardening, conservation, and outdoor recreation, Bartram’s Garden is near and dear to many Philadelphians’ hearts (including ours). However, the flow of the Schuylkill River can bring litter and trash to the shoreline of the park. Help us keep the park clean and beautiful for all to use by coming out to our cleanup in April!

This cleanup is a part of United By Blue’s monthly cleanup series in our home city of Philadelphia, and part of a week’s worth of Spring cleaning in honor of Earth Day! We will provide all cleanup supplies, and volunteers will receive snacks and prizes for attending. We recommend wearing sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty or wet.
