The Philadelphia Transit Equity Coalition invites you to our second annual Transit Equity Day celebration. Join us for a two hour town hall-style discussion on how we can create a more equitable transportation system in Philadelphia. There will be structured discussion and birthday cake.
We want to hear from you! Bring your stories and ideas for how to improve SEPTA and the rest of Philadelphia’s transportation system. We invite you to share and listen throughout a series of small group and large group discussions. Elected officials will be present to hear from you.
February 22 marks the 181st birthday of Octavius Catto, who worked on the desegregation of Philadelphia’s horse-drawn trolleys. Octavius Catto’s actions affirmed that everyone has a right to public transit.
Scribe Video Center will be present to discuss their oral history project about Philadelphian’s stories and hopes about transit. You can sign up to participate!
