Stars in the Garden! A Series of Seasonal Tours of Awbury Arboretum’s Pollinator Habitat Garden
Three dates:
Saturday, June 23rd, 1:00 – 2:00 PM
Friday, August 17th, 6:00 – 7:00 PM
Thursday, October 11th, 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Awbury’s volunteer pollinator gardeners will lead seasonal tours during each of the three blooming seasons. The tours will focus on three important pollinator friendly plants and a few sustainable gardening practices that benefit pollinators in particular. There will be time left at the end to mingle, ask questions, and share inspirational gardening ideas. Cameras to take pictures of insects on the flowers are welcome! Light refreshments will be served.
Highlighted plants will be:
• 6/23: bee balm (Monarda), stoke aster (Stokesia laevis) and coneflower ( Echinacea)

• 10/11: goldenrods (Solidago), fall asters (Symphyotrichum), and NY ironweed (Veronia)
