“Dirty hands, clean soul” – that’s Bennett Compost’s motto.  In 2009, Tim Bennett wanted to compost, but he was living in a second story apartment in South Philadelphia and wasn’t sure how to get started.  After talking with some friends, he realized he wasn’t alone- and thus, Bennett Compost was born.   Currently, Bennett Compost is located in North Philadelphia and keeps over 52 tons of material out of the landfill every week.  Are you having a “Tim moment” and want to start composting but aren’t sure where to begin?  Or do you have pressing compost questions to ask an expert?  Join us for Compost 101 where Tim will take us through the basics of composting, give pointers on various ways to get started (now and after pandemic restrictions begin to lift), and answer your most pressing compost questions.
