“A person’s a person, no matter how small,” says Horton the elephant in Dr. Seuss’s beloved “Horton Hears a Who” and this message carries throughout Upper Darby Summer Stage’s live musical production, Seussical, Jr.
Anything is possible in a land where an elephant climbs a tree, villagers live on a clover, a cat wears a hat, and where many of Dr. Seuss’s classic characters take to the stage!
Filled with an array of musical styles from swing, to gospel, R&B to pop, Latin to funk, the creators of “Ragtime” and “Once on this Island” (Flaherty and Ahern) have turned the cherished Dr. Seuss books into a delightful musical extravaganza that is a treat for the entire family.
The show is approximately one-hour long, with no intermission, and is ideal for ages 4 and up.
Young audience members and their families are invited to come early for fun pre-show activities and to stay after the show to meet cast members! Free babysitting is offered for young family members who are too young to quietly enjoy the show. Parking is free.
