Natural Pigment & Dye Workshop

Registration Required. Learn how to make pigments with flowers and fruits and how to use them as dye, water color and acrylic paint, and other colorful applications. We’ll discuss how natural pigments have been used throughout history; popular ways natural pigments are currently used in holistic households; and take a look at the spectrum of colors that can be created with natural materials.

We will get hands-on grinding materials and making a pigment to take home. There will be a step-by-step dyeing demonstration and printed instructions provided so students will feel confident crafting at home. We’ll cover processes, binding agents, and learn what natural materials to use to get to the colors you envision.
