Hypertufa Volunteer Day

Registration required. Hypertufa is a way to make lightweight concrete planters for your garden. They’ll grow moss on the surface and age over time and blend in to your green spaces without taking years to age naturally! They are easy to make once you know how.

Volunteers will get hands-on experience learning how to mix concrete and create a planter from start to finish using simple materials that can be found at your hardware store. You’ll get the recipe and directions to take home as well as your own Hypertufa planter. You’ll also be helping Greensgrow make planters to use in our greenhouse and community projects.

We’ll upcycle plastic containers of all different shapes and sizes as our molds. Use one of ours or bring your own.

Please bring any type of rubber, or dishwashing gloves!
