Help Weavers Way Germantown Go Solar!

April 17 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

The Clean Energy Co-op is helping Weavers Way Co-op go solar! The Weavers Way Co-op is on its way to having solar power thanks to cooperation between two co-ops, Weavers Way and the Clean Energy Co-op (the Clean Energy Co-op is different from The Energy Co-op, which is a Philadelphia-based energy supplier). Weavers Way Co-op, a local food cooperative with 4 grocery stores and 2 farms, has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Clean Energy Co-op to have solar panels on the roof of its new Germantown store.  The Clean Energy Co-op uses a proven and awarded method of developing solar projects using collective socially conscious investment of its members.  This unique structure allows individuals to directly increase the amount of renewable energy installed in Pennsylvania.  The Germantown store solar project is the Clean Energy Co-op’s first in greater Philadelphia and is its largest project to date.  Members of the Clean Energy Co-op who are legal residents of Pennsylvania can receive the prospectus and choose to invest in preferred shares that would fund the Weavers Way Germantown solar project. An information session will be held to provide individuals an opportunity to learn more about the Clean Energy Co-op and the Weavers Way Germantown solar project on April 17th at 7pm at 520 Carpenter Lane, Philadelphia PA 19119 (Oceania conference room located in the Mt. Airy Axis co-working space). To learn more about the Clean Energy Co-op, become a member, register for upcoming information sessions, partner to get solar on your non-profit or community organization, and follow updates on the Weavers Way Germantown project you may go to www.cleanenergy.coop or email info@cleanenergy.coop.
