Hatfield Swamp Birding in November

Explore varied habitats for fall migrants such as warblers and raptors to make an exciting trip! Meet at Stop & Shop, 875 Bloomfield Avenue, West Caldwell, NJ 07006 and carpool from there to different parts of this large reservation.
Footing may be wet.The majority of the Hatfield Swamp consists of forested wetlands with areas of scrub-shrub habitat and emergent wetland within the flood plain of the Passaic River. The site encompasses the Great Piece Meadows Natural Heritage Priority Site. Wintering Sharp-shinned Hawks, Long-eared Owls and Northern Saw-whet Owls are common.
