Foraging Workshop with Riverbend EEC & the Permanent Future Institute

May 1, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

$35

Join Riverbend and expert Melissa Miles, the Director of the Permanent Future Institute, as we learn about the wild edible and medicinal plants in the mid-Atlantic region! Participants will learn about some of the most common wild foods and medicines of the season as we walk the grounds of Riverbend (& have a few nibbles along the way!). Learn how to find, safely ID, and ethically harvest the abundance of food and medicines underfoot so you too can begin adding some of these nutritious foods and herbal tonics into your life this season. BONUS: If you have a “weed” or some other plant growing on your property and you’d like to identify it, bring some along and we will determine the plant and determine what uses (food, medicine, wild crafting, value to wildlife, etc …) it may have. Workshop cost $35 per person. Pre-register at info@riverbendeec.org or call 610-527-5234.
