Fairmount Fall Cleanup

Join the Fairmount Civic Association‘s 6th annual Fall Cleanup and help beautify the neighborhood! Meet at the playground behind Eastern State Penitentiary (22nd and Brown). Sign in, get some snacks/beverages and pick up supplies, including gloves, bags, brooms, and rakes. Volunteers will also receive museum passes to Eastern State. Even if you don’t live in Fairmount you can help—cleaning up one area prevents trash from going to others, especially with the Schuylkill River here. Combined with the spring cleanups, our volunteers have collected TONS (yes, tons) of trash and made new friendships in the process. The good folks from Circle Compost have offered to pick up bagged leaves and sticks free of charge.
