Contemplative ecology seeks to integrate our spirituality with our commitment to protecting the Earth through sustainable and mindful living.

This is an invitation to take time to savor the barrenness of the landscape; see nature in all its beauty; step away and go deeper in your own thoughts; and savor garden-to-table meals. Do as much or as little as you want.

Leslie Porreca, RSM, MSS, LCSW is head of Cranaleith’s Contemplative Ecology initiatives that include sustainability and permaculture activities and management of the garden and kitchen. She is a former co-director at Mercy Farm at Lumen Christi, Vermont.
