October 29, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

On Tuesday, October 29th, at the Friends Center in Philadelphia the Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Swarthmore College Philadelphia (#TriCoPhilly) program will be hosting nationally recognized Puerto Rican attorney and environmental justice leader, Elizabeth C. Yeampierre. Drawing on her experiences and efforts as a leader in the field of environmental justice, Yeampierre provides a unique perspective on how to promote meaningful engagement toward concrete, inclusive, community-based solutions to deal with the climate emergency we are facing as a community, a city, a nation, and the world more broadly. In these times of political and environmental uncertainty, Yeampierre’s thoughts will leave an impression on audience members’ thoughts and action regarding climate change and climate justice.
