Join the Fairmount Civic Association for our 6th annual Spring Cleanup, in conjunction with the Philly Spring Cleanup. Volunteers will meet at the playground at 22nd and Brown to receive supplies such as gloves, trash bags, and rakes. Eastern State Penitentiary has also provided museum passes for all volunteers. We will pick up trash, recyclables, and leaves. Circle Compost will collect all bagged leaves to be composted and donated to urban farms and gardens, and all are permitted to bring their food waste for a $10 donation that will also be made into compost.
Even if you don’t live in Fairmount you can help—cleaning up one area prevents trash from going to others, especially with the Schuylkill River here.
