Drexel University’s Office of International Programs is pleased to announce the 11th Annual Student Conference on Global Challenges. Focusing this year on Climate & the Environment, the conference will take place on Thursday, March 1, 2018, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in Behrakis Grand Hall, 3210 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
Some of the biggest global challenges that we face today have to do with providing people with clean, safe, efficient, and affordable energy and countering the negative effects of climate change. With increasing global interdependence we need to tackle these challenges both locally and globally and from a variety of different perspectives – scientific, economic, political, social, and cultural.
With this is mind, Drexel University’s Office of International Program’s 11th Annual Student Conference on Global Challenges will have the theme of Climate and the Environment. This conference offers undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to share their research and engage in critical reflection and dialogue on how climate change and the environment is shaping our global context within the diverse disciplines of health, education, science, human rights, medicine, law, media, economics, politics, development and history.
The student conference is free, open to the public, and will include breakfast, lunch, and a networking reception. Please visit Drexel’s Office of International Programs’ website for more details and to register to attend. If you have any questions about the event, please contact the Office of International Programs at oip@drexel.edu.
