Rodale Institute Installed a Water Mural by Philly Artists

Mural celebrates farmers and healthy farming practices in Kutztown

The Rodale Institute commissioned Philly-based Amber Art and Design to create a new mural called “Farming in Harmony” in its Kutztown headquarters. The mural displays regenerative organic farmers with their practices, including increased biodiversity, crop rotation, no-till, and soil health, which all are important to clean water efforts in the Delaware River Watershed.

The mural is a part of Rodale Institute’s Grow Clean Water Initiative, which shows the connection between farming practices and healthy waterways, funded by the William Penn Foundation.

Keir Johnston and Linda Fernandez of Amber Art and Design lead the initiative. As Fernandez said, “This is not just telling the story of the history but also of the future, the story of regenerative organic farming. We hope people feel inspired and also enriched by the art they are seeing here.”
