More COVID Changes: Set Out Your Recycling Every Other Week

New Schedule for Recycling Pick-Up Amidst COVID-19

These past few weeks have been a time filled with panic and disruption, now hitting your trash collection. The Philadelphia Streets Department has just announced a new schedule for recycling pick-up.

Beginning this coming Monday, April 6th, recycling will be skipped biweekly, resuming scheduled pickups the week of April 11th.

“Recycling collections will resume on Monday, April 13th with every other week collections through May 15th or further,” according to the Philadelphia Streets Department in a press release.

New Philly Trash and Recycling Schedule effective immediately:

Make sure you use lids on your recycling bins if you have them. If you don’t, you can pick one up from the Sanitation Convenience Centers, open from 8 AM-8 PM Tuesday through Saturday and free to Philly residents.

Trash collections will still remain on their normal weekly schedule, with the exception of this week due to Good Friday. (Those who get their trash picked up on Friday normally would be delayed a day.)
