Food Trucks, Quizzo, & Pumpkin Playgrounds: October 6-10th Event Roundup

Happy Monday! Who’s ready to settle into October’s crisp weather?

Philly has a few delights in store for us this week! Whether you want to switch up your lunch routine, or try an organic, vegan version of Quizzo, take your pick of this week’s events.

Events for the week of October 6-10, 2014

  • GLOW in the Park! Head out for a night of drinks, food, dancing, and entertainment! Proceeds go towards supporting all of Philadelphia’s beloved parks. Thursday, Oct. 9th @6–9PM. Strawberry Mansion Music Pavilion, 2400 Strawberry Mansion Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19132. ($100 at the door).
  • The Food Spot: Around the City Avenue area during the workday? Switch up your usual lunch and stop by The Food Spot for good eats and entertainment. Chow down on treats from Food trucks like Local 212, The Cow and The Curd, and Wonderland Cakes food trucks, while enjoying entertainment and music. Thursday, Oct. 9th @12–3PM. GSB Building Parking Lot, 1 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd. Details.
  • BYOB & Quizzo: Switch up your normal quizzo reoutine for a funfilled night with cold-pressed juice mixers, all-organic, vegan and gluten-free food, and prizes! Every Thursday @7PM. P.S. & Co., 1706 Locust Street. More info.
  • Pumpkin Playground at Longwood: It’s officially pumpkin month! Head over to Longwood Gardens (and bring the kids!) to see an 800 lb. pumpkin and play on the pumpkin playground! Now through October 31. Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square. Price is included in admission. Additional deets.
  • Wine 101: Learn about (and taste!) white wine at Crossing Vineyards and Winery. Get behind-the-scenes access to this unique vineyard where only sustainable agricultural and solar energy practices are utilized. Monday Oct. 6th @6:30-8:30PM; 1853 Writstown Road, Washington Crossing, PA. $30 for the class. Crossing Vineyards website.
