Enter your green thumb in PHS Gardening Contest

Entries welcome from gardeners across PA, NJ, and DE

2019 PHS Gardening Contest is back again, for all skills and garden types from window boxes and planters to school gardens, urban farms and everything in between.

Gardens are judged onsite beginning in July by a panel of knowledgeable plant lovers. Judges will be assessing gardens on a variety of factors, including demonstration of:

  • Aesthetic appeal, beauty, innovation, and effective design
  • Plant health, sustainable practices, and resourcefulness
  • Edible plants
  • Habitat for pollinators and other wildlife
  • Connections to family, neighbors, and/or community
