Warmer weather means lighter colors are once again “fashionably acceptable.”  Crisp whites  are one of my favorite choices for spring and summer.

It can be challenging to keep white attire fresh-looking. But while it’s tempting to choose bleach to brighten your whites here’s a safer way to whiten: mix about a ½-1 cup of borax per laundry load.

Not convinced? If you must use bleach, must choose a chlorine-free one like this Seventh Generation brand.
