If you’re anything like me, you’ve been to your fair share of food trucks by now. It’s hard not to hunt ’em down when they’re EVERYWHERE and most importantly, delicious.

However, I’ve found that the food truck cuisine isn’t always the best for your waistline.

Last year, we tracked down the top 7 green food trucks in Philadelphia. We’re back on the hunt and found the healthiest food trucks in Philadelphia!

These food trucks are guaranteed to satisfy anyone looking for a delicious, healthy meal on the go. Take a look.

5 Healthy Philly Food Trucks:

  1. Chez YasmineLocated on 37th and Spruce, Chez Yasmine helps customers eat both healthy and gourmet. Chez Yasmine offers everything from soups, special Swedish Berry Salad, quinoa, and everything in-between. Regardless of what you choose, they meal is guaranteed to be healthy, fresh, and delicious. Veggies delight: Chez Yasmine offering meatless menu items such as Vegetarian Bánh Mì and options to order their soups without meat. Chez Yasmine recently been working with the Philadelphia Healthy Food Truck Initiative to help offer healthy menu items and promote them to the public.

Schmear It Boasting to be the first and only food truck that serves bagels, Schmear It offers build-your-own custom sandwiches. Choose from healthy and fresh ingredients such as a tofu and nut spread, low fat cream cheese, mango, and bananas. Also  working with the Philadelphia Healthy Food Initiative, Schmear It also works with worthy non-profits to help fundraise and draw attention to causes. Come see for yourself at their Love Park and Drexel locations.

  3. Magic CarpetWith specials that change daily and seasonal menu items, Magic Carpet pleases vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike at both University City locations, 34th and Walnut and 35th and Spruce. All dishes can be modified meatless but their mix of Middle Eastern, Greek, and Indian foods never lacks flavor. Almost every dish contains fresh vegetables and with a side of pita bread.
  4. Farm TruckHonored in our green food trucks post, it was worthy to mention again. Farm Truck offers American food that’s all locally-sourced and made without preservatives. Although at first glance, soup, salad, and sandwiches tend to be the “healthy” food choice, Farm Truck gives it a gourmet spin that makes them as unique as their truck’s decor. Find the Farm Truck at many events around the city, or use their website to find them roaming day-to-day.
  5. Fruit Salad Truck Great for a healthy snack, the fruit salad truck is located on 17th and Arch. All produce is fresh and served cold, and you get a banana with every order. Typically, dishes come with a wide variety including watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, strawberries, and grapes. We’re psyched that a bunch are popping up; like the truck located at 19th and Arch.
